New Chunky Versions & Holiday Ordering

Saint Michael's Farmers Market logo
Well, we're in the first month of our Winter Break and here's an update to keep you informed of what's been going on behind the scenes.

First, the important salsa related news.
- We can't thank those of you enough that continue to purchase the stock we have available from the website! We're now out of Medium Chunky & Smooth, and also out of Habanero smooth because of you folks! Thank you! For the rest of you, we're going to be making a 'maintenance batch' to replenish the affect varieties either the next weekend or the following. This is not a call out for pre-orders, but just a heads up to let you know the Medium and Habanero Smooth salsas will be available.

- Exciting news about the Markets we attend! We have been accepted to be a vendor at the St. Michael's Farmers Market (@saintmichaelsmarket) #guajardosalsa in University Park! We're excited to join the great list of vendors for this market, and we are committing to be there once a month starting on Saturday, April 22nd. We're also planning on being at the 4 Seasons Farmers Markets in Flower Mound and other locations in the Metromess on the Sundays after the St. Michael's Market. As always though, order on the website at anytime and we will be happy to deliver! We will be working to really grow our business in quarter 3 & 4 of 2023, so this is a step towards that!

& now, behind the scenes
- As some of you already know, we're in the midst of a huge remodel of our home. This break has allowed us to devote the time needed for the myriad of micro (& macro!) decisions that need to be made on a daily basis. Everything from weekends out in showrooms for plumbing and lighting fixtures, to where we are going to run ductwork to minimize chases, and where we are putting switches, outlets, etc. There's also a lot of work that we're doing ourselves while the walls are open to do so. Suffice to say, we'll be extremely busy with the remodel and moving back in at least until June!

-For those of you interested in the tech side of our backend software, I didn't get as much done as I was hoping with the remodel taking up a lot of time and work just being out right crazy . I was able to get my dev environment setup and setup the environments in the cloud. I'm going to be developing our app using ReactNative for the tablet and web client side, node.js on AWS Lambdas for the backend and finally using MongoDB for the data storage. Hopefully I'll be able to start slinging some code in the month of Feb, but we'll see how it goes. It's nice to actually flex my technical and full stack muscles again after years of stagnation.
