Salsa FAQs

Our salsa has been independently lab tested to show it will remain safe for up to 12 months stored in a pantry. We doubt it will remain on the shelf for that long! From our internal testing, we recommend eating the Chunky versions of our salsa within 3 months for best quality. We have not noticed any difference in quality for the Smooth versions sitting on the shelf up to 6 months.

If by some minor miracle there’s salsa left in an open jar, refrigerate the remaining salsa in the closed jar. It will last up to 2-3 weeks. As always, use your best judgement when it comes to determining if something is safe to eat.

While we have our recipes down to the gram and our cooking processes standardized for all flavors, there are still variations in the vegetables we receive from batch to batch. Sometimes jalapenos will be hotter or tomatoes more ripe than what we normally use.

This is a work in progress. As we receive more questions, we’ll post them up; but truthfully, these are the two most commonly asked questions we’re received to date.

Shopping, Delivery and Shipping

For right now, not at all. We enjoy getting out and meeting our customers.

After a batch has been cooked, jarred, tested and labeled, we try to deliver twice a week; once mid-week in the evening and once on a weekend during the day.

Payment

We usually prefer payment be done at delivery or pick-up. This just makes life easier when you decide you need another jar for your neighbor, etc. For orders that are shipped, we prefer payment in advance.

We accept most payment methods except checks. Cash is always preferred, but we also accept PayPal/Venmo, and Credit/Debit Cards.
